Duke of Edinburgh's Award Expeditions

Specific DofE Expedition dates will be published in due course as plans develop. 

 

The DofE expedition season is from April to October inclusive.  

Indoor expedition training starts in January, covering such things as campcraft and navigation using map and compass.  

Outdoor training practice expeditions start in April (usually at Clun), with the Assessed expeditions all completed by the end of September.

Bronze candidates have a two-day (one night) camping expedition. At Silver level this extends to three days (two nights), and Gold is four days (three nights). Expeditions can take place anywhere, however at Bronze and Silver levels our Company usually runs cycling and hiking expeditions in the lovely local area countryside around Malvern.  

Gold expeditions (by the now older and wiser candidates!) take place in remoter areas (termed Wild Country).  

All expeditions are supervised by qualified staff.

Our Silver cyclists (Freddie; Ethan; Henry & Russell) completed their expedition in Summer 2016 and received their awards at enrolment in October
