Our Company Section Boys achieved 3rd place at the Battalion Swimming Gala this year! Particular congratulations to: Ed (3rd place, front crawl and 2nd place, underwater race); Ethan (1st place, breast stroke); Bob (3rd place, breast stroke); and the Year 11 relay race team (1st place).
January 2022
Well done to Josh who got the second-highest individual score in the Junior Battalion Ten Pin Bowling.
October 2021
Congratulations to our Junior team who placed second in the Battalion 5-a-side Football tournament. We also had boys competing in combined Company Section and Junior teams.
February 2020
The Company Section placed 3rd at the Battalion Swimming Gala, with some good performances from the Junior members competing as well.
January 2020
Ten Boys, five from Company Section and five from the Juniors represented the Company at the Battalion Ten Pin Bowling Competition in Stroud, with the Company Section team placing 3rd overall, and Ed L getting the 3rd highest individual score.
June 2019
The Company Section battled through to 2nd place in the Ultimate Frisbee at the Battalion Sports Competition.
April 2019
Well done to the Company Section boys who took part in the Battalion Hiking Competition in the Costwolds. 1st place went to 1st Swindon, helped by Bob from 1st Malvern; 2nd place was taken by the other 1st Malvern team.
March 2019
After taking 1st place in 2017 and 2018, this year's Anchor Boy Bible Frieze placed 3rd in the Battalion Competition.
February 2019
Our Company Section boys took 3rd place in the Battalion Swimming Gala.
Two Company Section and one Junior team took part in the Battalion Ten Pin Bowling Competition - we came 2nd and 3rd in the Company Section competition and our Juniors were a close 4th.
January 2017
Junior and Company Sections took part in the Battalion Ten Pin Bowling Competition. From the Company teams, Nathan took the 2nd highest Individual Score with 187 points; from the Juniors, James narrowly missed out on 3rd place Individual Score with 198.
November 2016
Our Juniors took part in the Battalion Quiz Competition and came 2nd in both the General Knowledge and Road Safety rounds, and 3rd in Bible Knowledge, securing 2nd place overall.
October 2016
Teams from the Juniors and Company Section took part in the Battalion 5-a-side Football Competition. The Junior team came second and our older Company members came third in their divisions.
Camp 2016
Russell and his tent members Ethan, Rob and Matthew won the T.A. Worley Trophy for tent leadership and performance - our first win since 2004.
The two tents combined to win the Camp Challenge Trophy as well.
January 2016
Junior Section won the prestigious Battalion Bowling Competition with Josh K getting the 3rd best individual score.
November 2015
Junior Section won the Battalion Quiz Afternoon with 1st place in the Bible and General Knowledge rounds, and 2nd place in Road Safety.
Camp 2015
Malvern Boys took the Tag Rugby & Football Awards as well as the Camp Games Trophy. For the third year running they won the Table Competition as well.
2013/14 Session
The Malvern team narrowly won the Chess Master Team at Battalion level on Saturday, 23rd November 2013, leading to the first National round. Dan, Adair and Logan (co-opted standin, thanks for stepping in at the last minute Logan!) won 6 of their 9 games to win the evening by 1 match. Unfortunately they did not win the next round so we will have to wait until next year.
2012/13 Session
National Chess competition:
Robin (Team Captain), Ethan C, Daniel - reserve, Adair. They unfortunately lost their last match against 2nd Alton.
